As of September 22, 2025, Dun & Bradstreet will improve the Failure Score for companies in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. This updated score provides a better prediction of bankruptcy risks and is automatically applied in various D&B products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why this update?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The business environment in Switzerland is constantly changing. New data sources are added, existing sources disappear, and the composition of the business landscape shifts. To continue to provide reliable risk assessments, Dun & Bradstreet has updated the scoring model behind the Failure Score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Swiss Failure Score uses sophisticated algorithms and more up-to-date data, such as payment behaviour, industry-specific risks, and external signals. This allows risky companies to be identified more quickly and accurately. Even if there is no recent activity, scores can change due to the more sensitive structure of the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does the Failure Score do?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Failure Score predicts the likelihood that a company will cease operations within 12 months due to financial problems. This could involve bankruptcy, liquidation, or another form of business closure. The score uses data such as payment behaviour, company structure, sector information, and external signals from the D&B Data Cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who does this score apply to?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The updated score is applied to approximately 825,000 active Swiss companies. The following groups are not included in the scoring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
