Laurent, to start with, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Aprovall?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I joined Aprovall in 2024 to support the launch of the new brand, formerly e-Attestations, as Head of Marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. For readers who may not be familiar with Aprovall yet, could you tell us what you do and what the main challenges are that you help your clients address?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aprovall is a European leader in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), helping organisations secure their relationships with third parties and simplify increasingly complex assessment processes. These risks are identified at every stage of the business relationship. Today, more than 1,850 public and private organisations trust Aprovall, collectively managing over 518,000 third parties across 180 countries to improve visibility, efficiency and resilience, and ultimately support their long-term success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. The partnership between Altares and Aprovall goes back a long way. How did the collaboration begin, and what naturally brought our two companies together?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Indeed, our partnership with Altares is one of Aprovall's longest-standing partnerships. It initially developed around giving our clients access to Dun &amp; Bradstreet's database of more than 600 million third parties, providing a foundation of identity, ownership and firmographic data. This enables our clients to immediately identify the right business partner. As our scope expanded to include Finance and anti-corruption issues, it was only natural for Aprovall to integrate financial scores from D&amp;B Finance Analytics as well as indueD scores. This data strengthens our clients' risk assessments in these areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We don't simply display the information: Aprovall integrates it directly into the decision-making processes within our TPRM solution. More broadly, Aprovall and Altares share the same principles and the same ambition. This common vision is reflected in organisations choosing to combine both partners around a shared objective. The market is now looking for a single solution capable of bringing all types of risk together, backed by very high-quality data such as Altares' data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Today, how do Aprovall's and Altares' areas of expertise complement each other when it comes to addressing companies' compliance challenges? What tangible benefits do our clients gain from this combination?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In compliance and anti-corruption \u2014 and, more broadly, when assessing the ethics and integrity of third parties \u2014 Altares and Aprovall work together as both a technology and operational partnership. Organisations subject to regulations such as Sapin II in France or AML requirements in Europe face several challenges. They need to assess third parties quickly, so Procurement and Sales teams can decide whether or not to move forward with them. At the same time, Compliance teams are often under pressure and also need to limit 'supplier fatigue', which can lead to lower response rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this context, Altares' indueD data, integrated into Aprovall's processes, automates part of the assessment process, speeds up results and gives Compliance teams greater confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Interesting read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altares.be\/en\/blog\/compliance\/kyb-in-2027-what-will-change-due-to-amlr-and-amla\/\">KYB in 2027: what will change due to AMLR and AMLA?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. How have you seen companies' anti-corruption practices evolve since the regulations were introduced? In your view, what are the main challenges they still need to address today?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between 2016 and 2021, public- and private-sector organizations were primarily looking for better access to integrity risk data. Since the Covid period, the focus has increasingly shifted towards turning that data into operational decisions through automated processes. These processes can now adapt to each third party's level of risk, with tailored assessment paths supported by Altares' indueD data. So, since 2021, we've really seen a shift from data itself to intelligent processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Third-party assessment is now a major part of anti-corruption programmes. What role do the quality and reliability of company data play in this process, and how does our partnership help meet these requirements?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although data is increasingly seen as a commodity in some markets, partly due to open-source providers and AI, which are often assumed to be able to identify the right information, high-quality data remains absolutely essential for anti-corruption solutions. At Aprovall, we see this every day: poor-quality data has a major impact on the results of the entire process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, the data used in anti-corruption programmes is diverse and constantly evolving. This includes identification data, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), ownership relationships and screening data such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altares.be\/en\/learn\/sanctielijsten\/\">sanctions<\/a>, adverse media coverage and politically exposed persons (PEPs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Criminals have understood that concealing activities within complex organisational structures is an effective method. Collecting and keeping this screening data up to date requires an organisation and processes that are up to the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Interesting read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.altares.be\/en\/blog\/compliance\/recognising-a-front-company-key-warning-signs-and-checks\/\">Recognising a front company: key warning signs and checks<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Beyond these initiatives, what does the collaboration between our teams look like in practice, on a day-to-day basis? Do you have any examples of joint client projects or results that illustrate the strength of our partnership?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For me, a good partnership is one in which customers clearly see the added value of combining both solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several customer stories illustrate this. As Antoine Beaume-Dessertaine, Director Procurement Methods &amp; Performance at Antin+, explains: <em>\u201cThanks to the complementary strengths of Aprovall and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altares.be\/en\/products\/indued\/\">indueD<\/a> we have digitised and structured our entire process for onboarding and assessing third parties. More than 250 employees now work within a smooth and secure process that meets legal requirements. For our 2,000 third parties, we have mapped risks, automated checks and integrated integrity reports. This implementation is an important step in further professionalising our third-party management.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond the solutions themselves, what matters most is the strong relationship we build with Altares every day.
